Florida Paycheck Calculator

This Florida paycheck calculator estimates your take-home pay for each paycheck in 2026. Florida has no personal income tax, so your paycheck is reduced only by federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and any pre-tax benefits you choose.

Taxes on a Florida paycheck

  • Federal income tax, based on the 2026 IRS brackets and your filing status.
  • Social Security: 6.2% of wages up to $184,500.
  • Medicare: 1.45% of all wages, plus 0.9% on wages over $200,000.

Worked example

A married employee in Florida filing jointly, earning $90,000 and paid twice a month, with 6% going to a 401(k) and $3,000 a year in health premiums, takes home about $2,896.35 per paycheck, or $69,513 a year.

Other Florida taxes to know

Florida’s state sales tax is 6%, and most counties add a discretionary surtax, so combined rates usually fall between 6% and 8%. Homeowners can claim a homestead exemption that lowers the taxable value of their main home, which helps offset property taxes and insurance costs.
